NATIONS FOR PEACE

On April 21-23, 2022, we organized a solemn assembly for Ukraine and Russia called Nations for Peace.
How did it all come about? In March 2022, God led us to start the “Peace Train”. This train represented joint online prayers of representatives of approximately 60 nations from around the world. We managed to organize this international event in less than a week in cooperation with the Czech movement “New Day”. In such a short time, people from different continents responded quickly and signed up to participate. On March 5, we interceded for Ukraine and Russia for about 7 hours non-stop. A strong moment was that this symbolic train was started by representatives from Israel and Egypt – countries that have a peace agreement between them, which many would not have thought was possible at all. The sharing and prayers of leaders from Russia, Ukraine and a Russian-Ukrainian married couple were extremely rare and profound.
Why the solemn assembly? We felt that we had to keep the Peace Train moving. How? We have adopted the verse from Joel 1:14, where it is written: “Call a solemn assembly! Gather the elders, all the inhabitants of the land to the house of the Lord your God, and cry to the Lord for help!” And so we did. We convened a three-day continuous solment assembly. This time live in Prague.
Why in Prague? And why did we Slovaks and Czechs organize the assembly? We chose Prague as the former capital of Czechoslovakia – Czechs and Slovaks, who, as two nations, split into two countries through a Velvet Revolution, without war, which still live in peace today, and are very closely connected and still very actively cooperate with each other in many areas.
The first two days we had a gathering in the Prague Crossroads in the Church of St. Ann, which is an international spiritual place founded by first Czechoslovak president Václav Havel and his wife. On the last day, we were out at Peace Square, from which streets named after different states emerge. Very nice moment was that even though it rained almost every day, on Saturday the square had beautiful sunny weather all day. The next day, as usual, it rained again.
How did it all go? During the day, we had a joint meeting at which representatives from Ukraine, Russia, Czechia, Slovakia, Germany, Poland, Egypt and the USA were personally present. During the day, representatives from other countries joined via Zoom. During the night there was a prayer chain, in which mainly people from other time zones participated: Australia, China, Hong Kong, Canada and other countries. During the preparation days that we had before the event itself, we perceived certain key points that we wanted to address, but at the assembly we put all our plans aside and just ministered our God: with praises and dances, prayers and silence, worship and mutual community. We simply let the Holy Spirit guide us.
What was the key moment? When the Holy Spirit led us to deal with the spirit of orphan and slavery, as the main root of what is happening in Ukraine and Russia. We know that this war is not only physical, but especially spiritual. And that’s what we wanted – to reveal the spiritual roots and fight a spiritual battle. What a difference it makes when we live as sons and daughters of our Father in Heaven! There is no pride, rejection, selfishness, fear, blame, violence, anger, control, division, etc. Son and daughter live in trust, acceptance, love, they don’t have to prove anything, they know who they are and who they belong to, they have everything with the Father.
During the assembly, with the spirit of the orphan and our mindset, we acted in repentance and forgiveness on a personal level, each one for himself, then on the level of the house of God, and finally the representatives of individual nations on the national level. After this purification of our hearts, we cried together for peace and for Ukraine and Russia to enter into the calling that God has for them as nations.
Political representatives also participated in the assembly in person or online because we know that they are the ones who make the decisions and to whom God has entrusted the authority. They are “in a position of power”. The Prime Minister Eduard Heger and several Christian politicians and members of the National People’s Republic of Slovakia participated on behalf of Slovakia.
