PEACE TRAIN – INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER FOR UKRAINE AND RUSSIA

On Saturday, March 5, 2022, we once again experienced that there is one God and one God’s family that stands together before God the Father and calls for peace in Ukraine. We are grateful for joining the representatives from different nations of the world that together speak prayers and blessings before God’s throne as one voice, so that the war in Ukraine would end and that Ukrainians and Russians would fulfill their God-given calling and mission.
We received inspiration from the Holy Spirit to organize the Peace Train – International Day of Prayer for Ukraine and Russia – just a few days before the actual day of prayer. We “accidentally” came across the song Peace Train by Cat Stevens and through it we understood what we were supposed to do.
We received a vision of a train bringing peace through our collective prayers, and we realized that the carriages represented individual nations. At the same time, the more wagons there are, the more impossible it will be for the enemy’s obstacles to stop this running long train. Due to the urgency of the situation, we rolled up our sleeves and immediately started preparations, having no idea in advance how many people and nations would participate in joint prayers.
On the day of prayers itself, representatives from 60 nations from all over the world gathered via Zoom. Most of our neighboring countries and other European nations participated; also other nations from North, Central and South America, Australia, Africa and Asia. The prayers were broadcast live and interpreted from English to Czech, Russian/Ukrainian and Spanish.
The day of prayers was opened by the hosts and founders of the International Alliance for Peace and Security: Hany Soryal (USA), Pavel Plchot (CZ) and Ronald Blaho (SK). The prayers themselves were started by representatives from Israel and Egypt. God decided to send us the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, through the Jewish nation, and therefore, out of respect for this divine choice, we began with Israel. Our faith was encouraged through witnessing that peace is possible. Just as it happened between Israel and Egypt.
This was followed by a short sharing and prayers by representatives from Ukraine and Russia. It was the most powerful moment of the day when a representative from Russia stepped into the gap on behalf of his nation and repented to Ukraine. And also towards nations that were damaged during the time of the Soviet Union. Seeing forgiveness, reconciliation and mutual blessing live is God’s grace and miracle. We are glad that a family with a son, in which the husband is from Russia and the wife is Ukrainian, also participated in the prayers. They expressed their blessing in a few sentences, but in these words there was a very strong presence and power of God. If you could not watch the broadcast, you can watch this part here>>
Representatives from European and non-European countries then prayed for the release of blessings and peace over Ukraine and Russia.
We believe that our joint prayers have set in motion the train of peace for Ukraine and Russia. The more of us that join this train, the more impact it will have. If you could not attend the prayer day, you can watch the recording and join the prayers.

LET’S KEEP PRAYING:

– That the Spirit of Jesus Christ, the Spirit of peace prevail over the spirit of war in Russia and Ukraine,
– Let’s invoke the God-given identity of these two nations. Let us bless Russia as a loving, compassionate mother and Ukraine as a basket of bread for Europe – a generous country that feeds Europe,
– For the protection of people in Ukraine,
– So that the conflict does not spread beyond the borders of Ukraine,
– That strong men like King David rise up in Ukraine,
– For the reconciliation of the generations in Russia (as written in Malachi 4), and to make the voice of the younger generation that yearns for peace heard,
– We pray for wisdom for politicians,
– We pray for the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, for wise mediators of the peace talks and for the speed of the negotiations, that the resulting agreement will be peaceful and end the violence,
– May modern-day Josephs and Daniels arise, let us pray for wisdom and courage,
– Let us overcome evil with good, let us pray for the people in Russia, let us not stand against people, but against hostile spiritual powers,
– Let’s remember that our prayers change history and in partnership with God we can change the course of history, as we read in the Bible.
